Indian Government always pays so much attention towards Indian Education System. In recent decades, the education system in India has evolved remarkably. The government has done great work in this regard. The educational reforms and new strategies changed the state of this country. The advancement in education is the major reason why India is growing so fastly!

The Indian government is running world’s largest education system. Indian Educational System consists upon 740,000 schools. The major reason why the literacy rate has increased in past decades.

In the eighties, the Indian government sanctioned most important educational reforms. These reforms were related to pre-school and primary schools. The most prominent part of these reforms were regular attendance. The regular attendance became a compulsory requirement in schools. Honestly, attendance regulation increased the literacy rate with great pace. Secondly, this was necessary to produce productive work force in India. Another major reform was the prohibition of child labor. Child labor was banned, so more kids could go to the school.

Above was the formal facts, now let’s talk about reality. In reality, only 50% of total school students goes to school. There is not regular checking of attendance in most schools. In fact, only enrollment is being checked.

In India, the education system is divided into ten + two + three year system. The first ten years of education are compulsory for every kid. In fact, this ten year education is obligatory in any school!

Let’s talk about the cycle of education. First of all, children attend the pre schools at the age of five. This education is a prerequisite for primary education. The next stage involves primary education up to the age of 11 years. This education tenure is compulsory for every student enrolled in school.

At the age of eleven, students move towards their middle education. This system demands  four years of education. Most students go through exams of middle at the age of fourteen. Once these exams are passed, the ten years of education are completed.

After middle school, the students take admissions in higher secondary school. This system involves two years of education. We can say, this system prepares the students for vocational and professional education. After completion of this stage, the student is considered as well educated. But we are not done yet. After college education, students may wish to continue education is universities. Here comes the higher education. This system produces engineers, doctors, scientists, artists and much more.

Honestly, in past years, the Indian Education System has reshaped the country. In ever filed, the country is moving faster. The enrollment in higher education universities and scientific research departments is getting higher. It means people are keen to learn most advancement fields. Research and development is necessary to improve in every aspect. This is what India is doing! With time, the literacy rate is getting higher. The education system is penetrating in every area of the country. The educational system is trying to bring equality too. The bottom line is that India is focused on making best place for living, and this is only possible with the power of knowledge!
