Updating your Aadhaar details will now cost higher. As per the circular issued by UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) on April 22, charges for updating your Aadhaar details such as an address, mobile number, and biometrics has been revised.
According to the circular, the new charges for the Updation of demographic details such as name, address, gender, email ID, the mobile number will be 50 rs now. Previously it was 25 rs.
Similarly, updating biometric details such as photographs, fingerprints and iris scan will now cost 50 rs inclusive of all taxes.
Revised charges for updating your Aadhaar details
Amended charges for the Updation of demographic information such as name, mobile number, etc. will be 50 rs. , for Biometric Updation it will be 50rs, and for Aadhaar search using e-KYC/Find Aadhaar/ and any tool and color printout on A4 sheet it will be 30 rs.
Updating your address in your Aadhaar card on the UIDAI website and availing other services online will continue to be free of cost. The revised charges will be applicable for the services availed by individuals at Aadhaar centers.
Kindly note that getting your Aadhaar card reprinted from the UIDAI’s website will continue to be chargeable. To get your Aadhaar card reprinted, you will have to pay 50 (inclusive of printing charges, speed post charges, and GST).
