This is the official website of the Integrated Child Development Services, Uttar Pradesh. The ICDS is a program that aims to improve the nutritional health and education services for children up to 6 years of age, as well as that of adolescent girls, pregnant women, and nursing mothers. This is effected through immunizations, provision of preschool education to children from the backward sections of the community, feeding programs, referral services and health checkups. The ICDS administration includes the Ministry of Human Resource Development, the Department of Women and Child Development, the Directorate of Child Development, the District Program Officer, the Child Development Project Officer, and the Anganwadi Workers and Helpers. The execution of this program is administered at the state level by its various directors.
The site also identifies associated organizations as its partners in this program, among which are the Government of India, the International Development Association, UNICEF, USAID, Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA), NORAD and CARE.
