NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday while announcing a 21-day lockdown across the country due to the coronavirus pandemic also shared a poster which said nobody should come out on the roads.
While addressing the nation on the crisis, PM Modi shared a creative poster saying corona means “Koi Road Par na Nikle” stressing the need of social distancing and urging the people to stay indoors.
PM Modi said there will be a complete bar on people from stepping outsides their homes, and even folded his hands to emphasise his request to citizens to adhere to the call to not go out of their homes.
Modi, during his video message, asserted that the lockdown was necessary for a decisive battle against the coronavirus outbreak.
He said the decision will have an economic cost but saving people’s lives is of the paramount interest to his government.
“If we don’t handle these 21 days well, then our country, your family will go backwards by 21 years,” he said.
