NEW DELHI: The number of Covid-19 cases continue to rise in the country. According to health ministry, there are 1,965 total confirmed cases at present. While 151 have been cured, the virus has claimed the lives of 50 people. At 335, Maharashtra reports the highest cases, followed by Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Rajasthan.
Also, almost 20 per cent of the total cases have been found to be with linked to Tablighi Jamaat (TJ) meet in Delhi. As many as 19 people connected to the meet died in different parts of the country. The number is likely go up further as test results of nearly 8,000 TJ followers and people who came in contact with them after the gathering at Nizamuddin mosque is still awaited.
