Delhi Cyber Police arrested a man for harassing a woman by making fake Facebook profiles. The accused used to post obscene pictures and videos of the woman through the fake account.

In her complaint, the woman revealed that the accused made two fake profiles of her, on which he used to post her images with obscene descriptions.

Because of this, she received several vulgar messages and videos from the strangers.

Based on her complaint, a case was registered at the Cyber Cell in Dwarka and the police began the investigation.

During the investigation, police analysed all the details of the fake accounts and raided the house of 32-year-old Mahaveer Singh in Mahaveer Enclave, New Delhi.

They nabbed the differently-abled accused responsible for harassing the woman from his residence.

During the interrogation, he revealed that he’s a vendor of plastic items and had known the woman for eight years as she lives in the same building as his brother.

He wanted to be friends with her but she did reply to his message on Facebook. After that, he made her fake accounts and started harassing her.
