The internet was in frenzy when cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and wife Dhanashree Verma shared cryptic messages on their Instagram profiles. While Dhanashree removed the surname Chahal from her name, Yuzvendra shared an Insta story with the message “New Life Loading”. There was no doubt that netizens were confused. However, Dhanashree has recently taken to Twitter to address the rumours fuelled by the actions.
Mumbai-based dentist and choreographer Dhanashree took to Instagram to share a long post about the baseless rumours about her separation with Chahal. She also expressed the kind of hate she received for removing the surname Chahal.
“I was trying really hard to wrap my head around this shocking news of not being able to do the basic things in life adequately. This is when I needed the most support, and this is exactly the time when people picked up some random news about us! It was pretty hateful, hence hurtful, for me to hear all of that. It was draining to say the least,” she wrote in the caption.
“I now feel wiser after this experience. I now know that people will talk and that’s okay, as long as you are a living, breathing embodiment of your truth. Thanks for turning my weakness into my strength and helping me strengthen my integrity further. Let’s spread joy and happiness and ignore everything else,” she added, and signed the post as DVC- Dhanashree Verma Chahal.
Well-wishers of the couple heaved a sigh of relief in the comments section of Dhanashree’s post. Many wished her a speedy recovery from her injury, while others simply showered all their love for the couple.Yuzvendra Chahal tied the knot with Mumbai-based dentist and choreographer Dhanashree Verma in Gurugram in December 2020. Chahal had met Dhanashree when he signed up for her YouTube classes earlier in 2020. The cricketer and the choreographer developed a liking for each other and it led to their engagement.
