The ongoing slugfest between the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the BJP took a fresh twist on Monday as Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia claimed the saffron party approached him with an offer to close all cases against him if he joined the party. The BJP refuted Sisodia’s claim and citing the excise policy case, accused the AAP of “breaking records in corruption”. Addressing a press conference in poll-bound Gujarat on Monday, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal attacked the BJP, saying the ruling party has become “arrogant” after 27 years in power in the state. He also pointed out the “dismal” state of health and education infrastructure in Gujarat.
Praising his deputy Manish Sisodia, who was with him at the time, Kejriwal said, “The world’s best education minister is with us today, the education minister whose picture has been published in the New York Times.”
