Department of Social Welfare of Government of Bihar launchedMukhya Mantri SanwasinVivahAnudan Yojana. Under this scheme government grants financial assistance to those girls who stay in government-run homes and who have reached the age of marriage and whose parents and caste identities are unknown.
- To overcome the social concerns against women due to their living conditions.
- Helps in providing an identity to the girls whose parents and caste are unknown.
- No girl who has attained the age of marriage remains unmarried.
It grants economic assistance of Rs. 20,000 to the orphan girls residing in the State-run homes at the time of their marriage. The amount is paid to the girl in the form of a cheque by the superintendent of the home in which she lives.
How to Access:
The application should be written to Superintendent, Protection Homes or the Balika Grah along with supporting documents such as age certificate, marriage registration certificate, the certificate for not receiving a dowry, and residence proof of staying in the Protection Home/balikagrah.
