Independence Day Speech: On 15 August 2022, 75 years of India’s independence will be completed. The country is celebrating its 76th Independence Day. On this day we got freedom from the slavery of the British for 200 years. This day is also a day to remember the freedom fighters who put everything at stake in liberating the country. On August 15, speech competitions etc. are organized inschools and colleges  .On the occasion of Independence Day, if you want to express your thoughts and are preparing to give a speech, then the example of speech given below can give you a lot of ideas.

Independence Day Speech 15 august speech in English : Independence Day speech is as follows-Respected Principal Sir/Madam, Guests, All the teachers and my dear friends , India has completed 75 years today. Our country became independent from the British Raj on 15 August 1947.On the anniversary of this memorable day, our country has been celebrating the national festival as Independence Day. Independence Day 15 August is a very special day for every Indian citizen because on this day our country got freedom from the slavery of the British for 200 years. India may be a country full of diversity, people of different languages, castes, religions and costumes live in different states, everyone’s living style is different, but the day of Independence Day holds a lot of importance for the most. The feeling of patriotism brings people closer to each other on the day of Independence Day. People from different regions can see the slogans of Bharat Mata Ki Jai and Jai Hind under the same flag and tricolor.

Friends, today is also the day to pay tribute to the hundreds of great freedom fighters who liberated this country, who happily sacrificed their lives to realize the dream of independent India. I pay homage to all the freedom fighters like Mahatma Gandhi, Bhagat Singh, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Chandrashekhar Azad, Lala Lajpat Rai, Ramprasad Bismil who gave their all for the freedom of India. Because of these, today we are all able to breathe in the air of a free country.

On August 15, the whole country is immersed in the celebration of the anniversary of independence. Patriotic songs resonate in every locality. Patriotic slogans are raised. There are cultural programs. But the biggest and major event takes place at the Red Fort in Delhi. Every year on August 15, the Prime Minister of India addresses the people of the country after unfurling the tricolor at the historic Red Fort in Delhi. In fact, on 15 August 1947, the first Prime Minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru, unfurled the national flag at the Lahori Gate of the Red Fort. That historic event has been a moment of pride for everyone. Since then this tradition has been going on.

This Independence Day speech of just 350 words will reward you

Friends, August 15 is also a day to reflect on what we have lost and gained in the past years. What do we have to do to make the future of the country bright? Where in the world does our country stand in terms of development. On this day, children should also be made aware of the country’s history, present and future plans. Apart from this, on the occasion of independence anniversary, we all should also take a pledge to play a role in nation building and maintain the unity of the country.

With this, I would like to conclude my speech. Vande Mataram… Jai Hind… Jai Bharat.
