On August 11, Washington landed heavily on his left shoulder while fielding for Lancashire against Worcestershire in a Royal London One-Day Cup match in Manchester. The India all-rounder left the field after receiving treatment to his shoulder.Washington has not played for India since the ODI series against West Indies in February 2022. He was sidelined after he picked up a hand injury during his stint with SunRisers Hyderabad in IPL 2022.
Shahbaz scored 219 runs in 16 matches for Royal Challengers Bangalore. He also took four wickets during the 2022 Indian Premier League.
