Inter-state robbery gang nabbed from Rajasthan’s Fathepur, history-sheeter among 3 arrested

An inter-state robbery gang was nabbed from Rajasthan’s Fatherpur. Three members of the gang, including a history-sheeter, have been arrested. Based on their statement, police officials have solved many cases of theft in multiple districts.

Sadar Police in Rajasthan’s Fatehpur nabbed an inter-state robbery gang and arrested three accused, including a history-sheeter. Based on the accused’s statements, many cases of theft in multiple districts of Rajasthan have been solved.

On August 2, Dilip Kumar, a resident of Rajasthan’s Balod Bari filed a report that thieves had broken into this house and decamped with Rs 1 lakh in cash and various other jewellery items, said Deputy Superintendent of Police, Rajesh Kumar.

“My mother and grandmother were at home. At around 2-3 am, my mother called me and said that a thief entered the house. He had opened the cupboard and taken away Rs 1 lakh, various jewellery items and a mobile SIM. The thieves ran away when my family members woke up after they heard a sound,” said Dilip Kumar.

Based on this incident, a special team was formed under the supervision of the Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Ramchandra Moond and DSP Rajesh Kumar Vidyarthi to nab the criminals.

Police arrested a history-sheeter identified as Vijaypal alias Viju, and two others from the gang, Umesh and Pankaj.

DSP Rajesh Kumar Vidyarthi stated that Vijaypal was a history-sheeter. A total of 19 cases of theft have been registered against him in Jaipur, Kotwali Fatehpur, Gudagodji, Mandawa, Mukandgarh, Balara, Churu and local police stations.

The accused Vijaypal was released from jail on January 12 after he had served his sentence. He began committing crimes again by contacting his jail mates.

Circle Inspector Krishna Kumar said, “The accused committed crimes in the districts of Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Jaipur, Jalore etc. Several cases of theft have been solved by questioning the arrested accused. The accused will be produced in court today.”
