Lucknow shivers at 6 degrees Celsius, cold winds, fog predicted

Cold winds, moderate fog, and a drop in temperature. Looks like there is no respite from the bone-numbing cold in Lucknow for the next few days. The minimum temperature reached 6 degrees Celsius in the city on Monday morning.

Both day and night temperatures witnessed a fall of four-five degrees Celsius on Sunday as well. The city witnessed chilly winds on Monday morning.
However, the sun is likely to come out today in Lucknow and is expected to take the temperature a few notches higher.

SCHOOLS REOPENED IN LUCKNOW
Amid the nail-biting chilly winds, people were seen enjoying tea at the famous Sharma Ji Ki Chai in Lucknow. Due to the dip in temperature and cold wave conditions, schools were closed in the city and winter vacations were extended.

However, all schools for students of classes one to eight will be reopened from today. The classes will be held between 9 am and 3 pm.

AGRA SHIVERS AT 3.8 DEGREES CELSIUS

Meanwhile, the temperature dipped to 3.8 degrees Celsius in Agra, making it the coldest district in Uttar Pradesh. The maximum temperature in the district is expected to hover around 16 degrees Celsius.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted shallow fog and cold waves in Agra for the next seven days. However, the minimum temperature is expected to rise.
