A Trinamool Congress (TMC) worker was stabbed to death in West Bengal’s South 24 Parganas district on Saturday. The deceased party worker was identified as Jale Alam Gazi.
Police said he was stabbed with a sharp weapon and he sustained a deep gash on his upper body. The incident happened in the Bharatpur area in Basanti, South 24 Parganas district.
The police have detained four people in connection with the case. They said the motive behind the crime is yet to be confirmed and investigations in the case are underway.
