A trainee doctor at Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital committed suicide after he went into depression.
In a shocking incident, a trainee doctor at Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital (CMC) committed suicide after he went into depression over not being able to get a no objection certificate from the Jamshedpur college, where he was studying, to register with the medical council.
For the last one year, Praveen was unable to submit his NOC as the Jamshedpur college had not given it yet, which became the reason for his depression.
After Praveen did not turn up for duty from August 6 at the college, a letter was sent to his father from CMC.
Based on this, Praveen’s father, Visweshwara Rao, called Praveen via mobile multiple times but was unable to get through to him.
Later it was found that Praveen, who was in a lodge in Coimbatore, committed suicide by drinking insecticide.
A case was filed at a police station under sec174 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC).
