CBI registers FIR against BJP MLA Sengar in Unnao rape survivor’s accident case
Officials said, “On Wednesday under murder charges in the accident case of Unnao rape survivor, The CBI has booked Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar and 10 others.”
The CBI has taken over research in the accident litigation from Uttar Pradesh, re-registering its FIR as per the normal procedure,
CBI stated, “The agency has also alerted its officials, who may nurse the accident place and receive details from police officials of Gurubakshganj Police Station in Rae Bareli where the accident took place.”
On Tuesday, the Centre has delivered over the probe to the CBI on the direction of the Uttar Pradesh government which had come under severe criticism for defaulting to give security to the girl who has held that the BJP MLA had raped her. The Uttar Pradesh Police on Monday lodged a murder case against Sengar and nine others because on Sunday, the car in which the rape survivor, her family, and lawyer were traveling was hit by an overspeeding truck in Rae Bareli, killing two members and leaving her and the advocate critically injured, after the rape survivor’s family registered a complaint, alleging “conspiracy” behind the accident.
