The idea of conducting a competitive sort of exam in order to appoint people for different public offices and other post was originally considered in the year 1853 under the British Rule. So, the federal public service commission was constituted and after India was founded, the commission became a part of the Indian constitution.
Bihar public service commission is the department that conducts competitive exams for different governmental posts and public offices of the state government of Bihar. It was established on April 1, 1949, under the authority of section 261 of Indian Govt. Actin 1935. Since its establishment, the Bihar public service commission has been conducting competitive exams in order to follow up the process of recruitment of professionals for different governmental posts. Originally, the capital of the department was situated in Ranchi. But a few years later, it was transferred to Patna where it is currently present.
