Coal India Limited (CIL)

The Indian national makes its place among the three swiftly growing economies in the whole world. Due to the increasing economy, power utilization increases too. So, in order to meet the required power for the industries and developmental projects, coal energy is used at a very large scale. The coal industry helps to meet the energy requirements of all major projects like steel, cement and power generation.

The Coal India Limited CIL is the coal authority of India working under the authority of the Government of India. It was established in 1975 in order to cater the growing power crisis. CIL produces as much as almost 79 million tons of coal every year. It operates at more than 81 sites which are located in 8 different states of the country. The coal produced is of good quality. For almost 4 decades, CIL has been playing a distinctive role in the growth of Indian economy.
