Directorate of Public Grievances (DPG)

The Directorate of Public Grievances is a governmental department. It works under the authority of the cabinet secretariat. It is a sort of an ombudsman department that looks after any sort of complaints and grievances filed by the general public against any department or organization working under the central government of India. If you come across any inconvenience caused by any governmental organization or department, you can seek help from the directorate of public grievances. In order to file a complaint to the Directorate of public grievances, you need to submit your credentials along with the grievance and the supporting documents. Your case will be analyzed and the respective department will be contacted for any response. The complainant will be notified through an official letter with the status of the complaint. On the basis of the case put up by the complainant and the response provided by the respective governmental agency, a verdict will be given.
