Food Corporation of India (FCI)


The Food Corporation of India was supposed to be set up under the act of Food Corporation in the year 1964. This happened for fulfilling the following mentioned objectives related to the policy of food:
• Operations for the support of effective price in order to safeguard the farmers’ interests
• The system of public distribution for distributing the food and grains in every part of the country for benefiting the public
• To maintain the level of satisfaction of the stocks related to operation as well as a buffer of the food and grains for ensuring the security of food on a national level
In fact, it is an inception that Food Corporation of India has played a very important and worth mentioning a role in the success of India to transform the management of food crisis security into a stable system of security. There are a number of operations performed by Food Corporation of India.
