Maharashtra’s government founded the Government College of Engineering in Karad with the aim of providing tribal and rural areas of Maharashtra with technical education.
The Government College of Engineering in Karad was established in 1960. The institution provides the Maharashtra state’s tribal and rural area with technical education. The school has since graduated over 7,000 engineers as well as over 300 professionals in computer services.
The mission of the school is to deliver excellence in academics by giving high education, infrastructure and recourses quality, to impact technological, managerial and scientific skills by new methodologies, technologies attitudes and discipline recourses, creating cultural, technological and scientific knowledge as well as aiming at the society’s general upliftment by concentrating on excellence in educations. The institution has been a major centre for education and is affiliated to Shivaji University which is located in Kolhapur. The institution also provides postgraduate programs for electrical, mechanical and civil engineering.
