The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India ICAI is a subsidiary of the Government of India. It was established in order to facilitate and promote chartered accountancy in the country, under the authority of the Act of Chartered Accountants in 1949. The responsibilities of the institute include the regulation of the whole field of chartered accountancy. ICAI has been established for more than 60 years now. As a result of the hard work and highly professional behavior of the workmen at the institute, ICAI is recognized locally, as well as internationally.
