The Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is a scheme which India’s government is carrying out in every district of the country for the purpose of providing qualitative education.
India’s government is committed to establishing at least, one Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) in every district in India. The objectives of the JNV are to provide modern quality education to Indian children, make sure that the students of JNV are able to understand, read and write at least 3 languages, enhance education quality by sharing facilities and experiences as well as providing education to rural children who are talented, especially the SC and ST minorities who are discriminated against. The JNV is under the Education’s ministry. They offer educational services that are unique, helping them to inculcate education to rural children. The JNV was established through an educational national policy in 1986. One of this schools which are located in over 540 locations in India is located in Cuttack in Orissa.
