Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT)

Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT) were established on 1st November 1999. It is the second university in the state imparting agricultural education and research. It was formerly known as Agricultural University, Udaipur. This university was separated from Agricultural University Bikaner and started functioning individually since 1st December 1999. The separation was necessary for smooth functioning and management in terms of research, teaching and other allied activities.

The main objectives of this university are to provide effective training to build up quality human resource to transfer knowledge and technology in the departments of agriculture, forestry, soil conservation, Animal husbandry, watershed management and horticulture. The courses of this institute are accredited by AICTE and ICAR. The institute and its college have good infrastructure comprising different departments, experienced faculties, campus, library etc. The university has six constituent colleges spreading over 12 districts in Rajasthan. It conducts a number of activities and services for the welfare of its students.
