This is the official website of the Manganese Ore (India) Limited (MOIL), originally the Central Provinces Manganese Ore Company Limited, a British company. The Government of India took over this company in 1962 upon an agreement with CPMO. It became fully owned by the Government in 1977. MOIL currently operates 10 mines in various locations in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh, supplying almost 50% of India’s demand for dioxide ore. Aside from this, MOIL has also put up a Ferro Manganese plant, an Electrolytic Manganese Dioxide plant, and planning to set up a Silico Manganese plant thru a joint venture with Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited and Steel Authority of India Limited.
