Mysore Palace was built by an English architect, Henry Irwin from 1897-1912. The palace is a three-storied building made of grey granite stone and has deep pink marble domes. The theme of the architecture of the building is a blend of Muslim designs combined with Rajput style and gothic features. 97,000 electric light bulbs are used to illuminate Mysore palace on special occasions and public holidays. Anyone who visits the palace gets awed by its beauty and splendor.
