Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC)

Nashik Municipal Corporation came into existence on the 7th November 1982. It came as a corporate body in compliance with the act of BPMC in 1949. The Nashik Municipal Corporation beholds responsibility for an area that has covered at least 259 square kilometers. This huge area includes the city area along with the peripheral area as well. All the basic civic services are provided to the 1 million citizens of the district of Nashik.
The city of Nashik has an ancient history. It came into being in the Mughal era when India was ruled by Muslim Rulers. So it bears many ancient buildings that remind us of the olden times. The famous landmarks include Kapaleeshwara House, Kalama Temple, Sitagumfa, Kartikeya temple, Narosankara temple, Sundrana rayana house, Bhaktidama, Vada temple, Someshwar temple Chamraj caves, Akshardham temple, Khandoba temple and a lot of other famous ancient temples.
