National Medicinal Plants Board (NMPB)

The government of India established the National Medicinal Plants Board (NMPB) in November 2000 to serve as the leading authority in tasks related to medicinal plants, its policies regarding trade, export, conservation, and cultivation. The board was set up by the ministry of health and family welfare under the banner of the Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy (AYUSH) department.
