On August 15, 1949, the cornerstone of the National Museum, New Delhi was laid down by Shri R.C. Rajagopalachari, the Governor-General of India, in Rashtrapati Bhawan. The aim of establishment of the museum is to gather workmanship objects of Historical, Cultural and Artistic centrality for the reason to show, insurance, safeguarding and elucidation.
