Sahitya Akademi

The Sahitya Akademi was officially initiated by the Government of India on 12 March 1954. Sahitya Akademi, India’s National Academy of Letters is the focal establishment for abstract dialog, production, and advancement in the nation and the main organization that embraces artistic exercises in 24 Indian dialects, including English.

Over the 56 years of its dynamic presence, it has interminably attempted to advance great taste and solid perusing propensities, to keep alive the personal dialog among the different semantic and abstract zones and gatherings through classes, addresses, symposia, discourses, readings and exhibitions provided on the site as well. The Akademi seeks to expand the pace of common interpretations through workshops and individual assignments and to build up a genuine artistic society through the distributions of diaries, monographs, and individual innovative works of each sort, collections, reference books, lexicons, and lists of sources which can be accessed through the website of SA.
