Tumakuru (Tumkur) District, Karnataka


This is the official website of the Tumakuru or Tumkur District is an administrative district in the state of Karnataka in India. It is called the Land of Kalpatharu in reference to its main product, the coconut. The district does not have many historical records of Southern India’s early dynasties. The present town’s historical records date back to only a couple of centuries.
