This is the official website of the V.O. Chidambaranar Port Trust which operates the Tuticorin Port. Opened in 1974, it is a round-the-clock, all-weather port and the fourth largest container terminal in India. It is located in the Gulf of Mannar on the south-eastern coast of India. It has both a container terminal and a passenger terminal for cruise ships, and a vast area for storage amenities. The port provides weekly container transport services to the United States, as well as weekly direct services to Europe, China, and the Red Sea ports. The port is owned by V.O. Chidambaranar Port Trust, Ministry of Shipping of the Government of India.
